I am Birgit Usin – creator of the Birico brand. I value good sleep and skin care, and I have always consciously worked to maintain their quality. Despite this, at one point I noticed that every morning I looked in the mirror with an increasingly tired and stressed face. My biggest concern was falling asleep – even when I was very tired, I would toss and turn in bed for hours, and when I finally managed to fall asleep, it wasn’t deep or quality sleep because I woke up often. The smartwatch confirmed this sad fact and the cause of the malaise. I tried various changes: taking evening walks, drinking sleep teas, reducing screen time – all provided some relief, but not a complete solution to the sleep problem.

Reaching too lightly for sleeping pills didn’t seem like a good idea, so I continued to look for a more natural remedy. I came across a study that pointed out, among other things, that our bedding can play an important role in both sleep and skin care. This inspired me to try something new and from there I found myself delving deeper into the properties of silk.
